Many, many, robots, armor, & weapons ideas for Remnant 2, DLC3: Dark Horizon. The Engineer Armor was based on a rough torso sketch from our Senior Concept Artist Aleksei Kovalenko, along with Game Design direction from Design Director David Adams, and Principle Designers Ben Cureton. The tall, long legged robot that we called The Harvester, I worked closely with David Adams on, as well as Senior Combat Designer Maurice Edwards. The long gun called The Monorail, I collaborated closely with Ben Cureton. We wanted each of these items to bring a unique visual and gameplay theme to the DLC. The Engineer Armor with it's strange thin shapes, which also has drones that appear to help you in battle. The Harvester and it's ability to open these side lungs to vacuum up objects. The Monorail Gun and it's ability to either one shot kill foes, or if not careful, one shot you, as it explodes from overload. It was fun sketching up the various ideas to land on what we'd like to move forward with.
